- Abstract
The article offers information on the signs and symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of neurocysticercosis (NCC), an infection of the human caused by the pork tapeworm called Taenia solium. It notes that NCC varies depending on the location and number of cysterci and can be manifested through seizures, altered mental status and headaches. NCC can be diagnosed through magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
