- Abstract
The article discusses the effects of endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDC) found in sewages on the reproductive ability of male fathead minnows in the U.S. Research results, which were published in the February 2007 issue of "Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry," indicated that EDC exposed minnows were less productive than their unexposed counterparts. According to Peter Sorenson, co-author of the research, EDCs showed no consequence to the fish's fertility, however, it brought changes to the minnow's behavior.
