This article reports on a study on a new giant crayfish species from Alabama and Tennessee that is as large as a lobster. It offers details on the new giant crayfish species, Barbicambarus simmonsi, the circumstances leading to its discovery and how it was found in Shoal Creek on the Tennessee River.
