- Title
Would the REINS Act Rein In Federal Regulation?
- Authors
ADLER, JONATHAN H.
- Abstract
The article discusses the proposed Regulations of the Executive in Need of Scrutiny (REINS) Act in the U.S. The legislation aims to remedy concern that regulatory agencies act outside the authority delegated to them by the U.S. Congress. According to critics of the REINS Act, some regulatory efforts will be curtained by the act and hinder the Congress from approving new federal regulations. The legislation is expected to make Congress more responsible for federal regulatory activity.
