- Abstract
The article focuses on the distribution of Gammarus lacustris Sars at the Meromictic Lake Shira using underwater video recording in Khakassia, Russia. The distribution of G. lacustris in daytime differ in nighttime in thin layer with a depth of 5.5 to 6.5 meters. One of the behaviors observed in gammaridae is that they stay at the bottom during daytime and rises to the pelagic zone by midnight. The growth of Gammarus in the mesocosms containing phytoplankton is slow compare to mesocosm with phytoplankton and zooplankton.
