- Abstract
The article discusses the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry's (AAPD's) guideline on the use of antibiotic therapy in the treatment of oral conditions involving pediatric dental patients. According to the article, some forms of bacteria can develop resistance to single or multiple antimocrobial drugs. Oral wound care management is examined, along with issues involving the treatment of pulpitis, apical periodontitis, and salivary gland infections. Oral contraceptive use is assessed.
