Challenges Faced by the Committee.
- Abstract
The article offers information on the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists' technical committee, Committee RA61. The section highlights several challenges faced by the committee. As of May 2001, the committee is working on projects focusing on test methods. Among the test methods being developed by the committee include: appearance of apparel and other textile end products after repeated home laundering and smoothness of seams in fabrics after repeated home laundering. RA61 is also studying the difference in appearance retention of garments laundered in top loading compared to front loading washing machines.
