- Abstract
The article examines the defenses against sedition laws including the freedom of expression, the concept of autonomy, and the marketplace of ideas metaphor. It says that all opinions must be allowed to enter the marketplace of ideas to be subjected to criticism and developed better arguments. It suggests that the government should only use sedition laws to suppress opinions, political groups, and political dissident.
