- Abstract
The article presents a study which utilizes signal processing and nonlinear identification approaches in identifying measure seismic responses of reinforced concrete (RC) structures with the use of the shaking table test. It analyzes structural nonlinearity and conducts damage feature extraction with the use of Holder exponent and the detail of Level-1 of the discrete wavelet element. It employs the modified Bouc-Wen hysteretic model and the system identification process to the table shaking test data. It discusses the stiffness and strength degradation functions which were identified from the test data of RC frame in terms of the level of ground shaking, described nonlinear features, and damage index.
