- Abstract
To analyze the effect of scintillator detectors on the fast neutron multiplicity, this paper uses Geant4 and Matlab to simulate and study three types of scintillator detectors: BC501A, EJ-309 and Stilbene. It's found that EJ-309 has the highest detection efficiency and the smallest measurement deviation. The energy spectrum of the recoil particles is collected to analyze the reason. The results show that Stilbene has the lowest proportion of hydrogen nuclei, which causes poor measurement results. On this basis, we found that a lower carbon: hydrogen molar ratio and a greater density correspond to a better measurement efficiency, and nuclide deuterium has better measurement efficiency than hydrogen nuclide.
