Meniscus transplantation.

- Abstract
The article focuses on meniscus transplantation. Today most surgeons try to repair the torn meniscus and excisions are reserved for small tears or flaps in the "white-white" zone. All technical problems in connection with these transplantations are not yet solved. Extrusion of the meniscus seems to be a practical problem, and I strongly think that meniscus transplantation still remains an experimental procedure that should be performed only in centres with a lot of experience. It should also be remembered that the transplant mainly seems to help the patient's pain.
