- Abstract
The article discusses the connection between chromosomes and incidence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Higher number of men report liver cancer than women. Gender based hormonal differences, physiology of liver and prolactin effect is discussed. Studies on mice infected with hepatitis B virus is presented that observes that female mice show lower rate of cancer. Graph to represent sexual inequality and epidemiology in liver cancer rates from the U.S. National cancer Institute is presented.
