- Abstract
In this article, the author discusses the articles by D. Kuzum and colleagues and T. Ohno and colleagues, regarding the synthesis of inorganic artificial synapses. He is critical on the devices made by Kuzum and colleagues with the use of a chalcogenide glass that can switch reversibly between an amorphous phase and a crystalline phase. Also investigated is the report by Ohno and colleagues regarding the nanoscale artificial synapses, which show both short-term and long-term plasticity.
