- Abstract
The article explores the impact made by acoustic waves on the ignition zone and the transition of combustion to detonation. Calculations are performed using the mathematical model of gas dynamics of combustion with regards to thermal conductivity, viscosity, and multicomponent diffusion. The transport coefficients are determined thru the kinetic theory of gases. In the initial stage of ignition, the sound waves accelerate the process of cooling off of the combustion site.
