The article focuses on a research paper "Fibroadenoma of the Male Mammary Gland: Frequency, Diagnosis and Therapy," in which twelve male patients with unilateral enlargement of the mammary gland were biopsied during the period 1980-1985. In six cases the diagnosis was fibroadenoma. This unexpected observation suggests that fibroadenomas in males are more frequent than supposed.
