The article discusses the importance of the quality of research and training at academic institutions amidst prevalence of western journal business and operational model, which may or may not be considered predatory publishing. Topics addressed include the role of Professor Jeffrey Beall in identifying predatory publishers, the practice of individuals not to allow the entry of new players in the field of high-quality scientific journals, and the emergence of new publishing outlets.
