- Abstract
The article offers criticism of the American television series "Grey's Anatomy" created by Shonda Rhimes. According to the author, the interactions and relationships of the racially diverse cast of characters in the show does not reflect social inequalities that exist in reality within the U.S. It also explores the friendship between the characters Meredith Grey and Christina Yang, discusses how the themes of the show reflect those found in fairy tales, and comments on ways in which the news media covered the firing of actor Isaiah Washington for allegedly insulting fellow actor T.R. Knight with a gay slur.
