- Abstract
Dr. Kari Elaine Moore, a Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care diplomate, passed away after an 18-month battle with T-cell prolymphocytic leukemia. She was a strong advocate for promoting high standards of veterinary care and had an impressive career, including completing a residency in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care at Tufts University and serving as a Regional Medical Director for multiple hospitals. Dr. Moore was also passionate about teaching and mentoring, and she was deeply respected as a member of the VCA Regional Medical Director team. She faced her cancer diagnosis with bravery and used her scientific training to document her care and treatment. Dr. Moore is survived by her husband, parents, sister, and many loved ones. She will be remembered for her generosity, vibrant spirit, and dedication to others.
