- Title
The Authorial Mediation of Religious Tensions in YAL Narratives of Im/Migration.
- Authors
Glenn, Wendy J.; Moore, Daniel
- Abstract
The article examines seven young adult (YA) immigration narratives to illustrate how authors who do not identify with the religion they are writing construct religion in their work. It discusses how authors can polarize readers in the way they frame religion within a text, and describes classroom activities for secondary educators that will encourage their students to think critically about religion in YAL.
