- Abstract
The article discusses the sources of Cuban Foreign Policy. Cuba has been able to project power abroad because of internal changes of foreign policy in 1970. Cuba's economic growth performance during the past two decades has been rather poor by world standards due to its conflicts between the U.S. The internal economic trends within the two decades, however, help explain in part the rhythm of Cuban overseas activities. The Cuban economy collapsed and was recovered in the first half of 1970's.
