- Title
Autism spectrum disorders revisited.
- Abstract
The article discusses the causes and prevention of autism spectrum disorders (ASDs). It says that environmental factors, including the use of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), lack of folic acid in early pregnancy and complications at birth, are more responsible for the development of ASDs than the genetic changes. It mentions several advices for women concerned on the risk of ASD such as taking multivitamins and asking about SSRIs.
