- Abstract
The article presents a study on the three dimensional (3-D) auditory display that has a capacity to encode head-up monitoring of two interrelated aircraft navigation instruments, conducted by John Towers, Robin Burgess-Limerick and Stephan Riek. In this study, three auditory display conditions were identified as mute, audio and audio home theatre (HT). The study found that auditory display aids in aircraft heading and course deviation accuracy.
