- Authors
Kressel, Kenneth
- Abstract
On the basis of a three-year research project on the social-psychological aspects of divorce and a selective summary of recent empirical studies on the divorcing process, characteristic patterns of individual and marital coping response to the stresses of divorce are described, implications for clinical practice are discussed in terms of the need for active, concrete, practically focused forms of assistance and the therapist's role in the decision-making process, including the decision to divorce.
