- Authors
Hroub, Khaled
- Abstract
The article offers the author's insights on the power of Islamists in the Arab countries' election. He says that the victory of Islamists in the Egyptian election followed Morocco's Justice and Development Party and Renaissance Movement in Tunisia. He states that similar Islamist parties also won in Libya, and gather high ratings in Jordan, Yemen, and Algeria. He mentions that Arab publics must delve into real experience so they can be judged away from semi-blind support and religious passion.
