- Abstract
The article examines the importance of the years 1948 and 1967 as significant markers in Palestinian history. According to the article, it is the start of a continuous legacy of displacement for the Palestinian Jerusalemite population from their land, property and home. It is stated that the Palestinian Jerusalemites live in an ever-changing environment that demands a constant revision of upcoming risks. Moreover, the political situation and the slower process of displacement has made a permanent refugee mode of behavior. It has all the psychological factors of refugee behavior and is much more internalized, however, does not figure in the legal definition of refugees.
