- Title
Retirement Planning: Establishing Common Knowledge.
- Authors
Tacchin, Kenn Beam
- Abstract
The financial services profession needs to do a better job of letting the public know about axioms and factoids that will make the job of saving for retirement and not outspending their savings during retirement easier. For example, doctors have made it common knowledge that a person's cholesterol should not exceed 200, and clergy of many faiths have instilled in us to "love thy neighbor as thyself." What basic information should our clients who are either preparing for, or living in, retirement have?
