- Title
Commentary: Relative importance of diet vs physical activity for health.
- Authors
Ding, Eric L.; Hu, Frank B
- Abstract
The author comments on a study by M. Janssen and colleagues regarding the relationship of nutritional diet with risks of mortality as confounded by physical fitness. He says that the findings seem to suggest that the relationship of diet with risks of cardiovascular mortality are related to physical activity. The author says that the conclusions should take into consideration other epidemiological studies on dietary factors which are associated with other types of major diseases other than lifestyle including physical activity.
