- Abstract
Alevism, with its characteristic of esoteric interpretation, resembles the Shii Ismailiya rather than the Twelve Imam Shiism. In its interpretations brought to religious rules, there is a clear influence is a compulsory result deriving from both geographical and historical conditions. The interpretation of Alevies regarding namaz is that namaz is "salat", which means "petition to Allah". This interpretation reveals the influence of the Nizari Ismailiyas, who have a similar interpretation.
