- Abstract
The article presents a study which focuses on the influence of tuffisite-bearing andesite in volcanic conduits on the fundamental physical properties of andesitic rocks. The study uses the volume of water expelled from the rock to calculate the porosity of the samples. Results show that the presence and/or orientation of tuffisites is not affecting its strength, while the permeability doubles when the materials are oriented favorable.
