- Abstract
The article discusses the use of solar selective coatings, such as thermal spray and solution-based coatings, for concentrating solar power (CSP) central receivers. Topics include a brief overview of CSP central receiver systems, the ideal selective absorber coating for CSP receivers, and research at Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico, investigating the efficiency and durability of coatings prepared using thermal spray and solution-based synthesis techniques.
