An essay is presented on European responses to Soviet anti-religious policies during the early 20th century. Particular focus is given to the anti-communist group Entente internationale anticommuniste (EIA) and its propaganda regarding Christian martyrs in the Soviet Union. Topics discussed include Catholic-Protestant relations and militant atheism.
