Comparing Alberta University Student and General Population Awareness of Co-operatives.

- Abstract
The article presents a study on the awareness on co-operatives of Alberta University students and general population (GP). It says that 1,500 survey questionnaires were sent to random households in Alberta and used on-line survey to 150 Alberta University students in March 2010. Results showed that 78% of GP and 48% of students are familiar with co-operatives. It adds that older people have more knowledge on the topic, showing that education is needed to increase patronage to co-operatives.
