- Abstract
The article presents food legislation in the European Union (EU). A Commission Implementing Decision of August 19, 2011 reveals the authorization of placing Phosphatidylserine from soya phospholipids as a novel food ingredient on the market. Commission Regulation of August 19, 2011 focuses on the maximum levels for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in foodstuffs. The legislation on the increased level of official controls on imports of certain feed and food of non-animal origin is also included.
