- Title
Erie Water Works Modernizes Water Treatment Plant.
- Abstract
Erie Water Works has completed a three-phase modernization project for its Richard S. Wasielewski Water Treatment Plant, which was originally built in the 1930s. The $70 million project included upgrades such as a new Low Service Pump Station, pretreatment improvements, and the restoration of the plant's Rotunda Building and copper dome. The final phase also added a state-of-the-art laboratory and improved site infrastructure. The plant produces high-quality, potable water for over 220,000 people in a 64 square mile service area.
