- Abstract
The article focuses on the trends of percutaneous transluminal angioplasty also known as stent placement in endovascularly treating femoropopliteal arterial occlusive disease. Intermittent claudication, rest pain, and tissue loss including ulceration and gangrene are among the clinical indications for treating the condition. The technique, pathophysiology and results of the procedure is discussed in detail.
