- Abstract
The article discusses research on the importance of the collaboration of nurses and patients to enhance perception, efficiencies and communication of care. The researcher explored a project at a 350-bed trauma hospital in a midwestern city in the U.S. concerning the development of a new approach to patient care. She found that patient satisfaction and quality of care are the top concerns of nurses and physicians in the hospital.
