- Abstract
In this study, condenser and evaporator in a vapour compressed refrigeration system are analysed from the second law of thermodynamics point of view. The irreversibility of whole system which has refrigerating power 2 kW is calculated by determining irreversibility of each component (condenser, evaporator, expansion valve, compressor). Having chosen condenser and evaporator which are parallel same flow exchanger, the equations of irreversibility are carried out for refrigerant R-22. The variation of total irreversibility is determined according to condenser, evaporator and compressor efficiency.
