- Title
THE ROLE OF SPECTRUM IN SUBJECTIVE INTERPRETATION OF SPEECH PRIVACY ESTIMATES: AN ANALYSIS OF PROMINENT METRICS.
- Authors
Koukounian, Viken
- Abstract
The article discusses the role of spectrum in subjective interpretation of speech privacy including Reliable psychoacoustic metrics to determine whether spaces meet occupant needs and expectations; the outcomes clearly demonstrate that Speech Privacy Class (SPC) is not a sufficiently accurate estimator of comprehension, because frequency composition plays an important role in intelligibility; and figures showing spectral condition are also presented.
