- Title
When to inseminate: a dilemma for dairy farmers.
- Authors
Ahmadi, B. Vosough
- Abstract
The author reflects on a study which describes a decision support system for the determination of economic consequences of immediate or delayed cow insemination in oestrus. He says that the study is important since it shows that dairy farmers' decision about insemination timing can lead to substantial losses or benefits. He concludes that the recording of right data is crucial in making informed decisions with the aid of decision support system models.
