- Abstract
The article discusses the status of same-sex marriage laws in Florida, the U.S., and several foreign nations in the wake of the American Supreme Court's ruling in the 2013 case United States v. Windsor which deals with marriage equality and the constitutionality of gay marriage in the U.S. State laws which ban same-sex marriage in America are mentioned, along with Canada's Civil Marriage Act and Florida's statutory ban on same-sex marriage. The U.S. Defense of Marriage Act is examined.
