An interview with James Card, who retires as curator of motion pictures and director of the Department of Film at the International Museum of Photography at George Eastman House in Rochester, New York is presented. He majored in drama and theatre at Cleveland's Western Reserve University. When asked about his first assignment, he stated that he will make demonstrational films to demonstrate how a daguerreotype was made.
