- Abstract
The article provides information about post-transplantation nephrotic syndrome. At the outset, the author has presented a case of an old Caucasian female who developed chronic renal failure from focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and has received a living-related renal allograft. He has further discussed how the renal biopsy findings has showed segmental or global glomerulosclerosis and how the patient underwent daily plasmapheresis. He has emphasized that proteinuria following renal transplantation may result from diverse pathogenetic mechanisms, with different implications for graft survival.
