- Abstract
What was the might (or power) of the ancient Wari and Inka states? Determining the power or specifically the transformative capacity of both the Wari and the Inka states is a complicated task, as archaeological evidence denoting power is subject to interpretation. However, there are some variables that can be used to gain an appreciation of the power of these two ancient states of the central Andes. Here the power of both states is discussed comparatively, taking as reference points some regions that were incorporated into the control of these two states.
