- Abstract
The article reports on the introduction of new sleeping drugs that can overcome problems like falls, confusion and memory lost. The U.S. based Merck & Co. Inc. presented reports which revealed that a drug called suvorexant helps people to fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer without causing serious side effects but it is yet to be approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). It is a drug that blocks a neurotransmitter called orexin, which controls the body's sleep-wake cycles.
