The article focuses on the group of young Japanese architects called Mikan. Mikan is usurping the authority of an older generation of Japanese architects. As proponents of namelessness and common sense, they are questioning the existence of their seniors on individuality and authorship. The members of the group are independent architects and they come together when needed for a project.
