- Abstract
The article explores the potential impact of massive shifts in payment and care delivery models on family physicians. Topics covered include the modest gains in real income experienced by physicians, the importance of continued recognition of the value of primary care in family medicine's ability to grow and the percentage of physicians who meet the criteria for burnout. Also mentioned is the opportunity for primary care practices to reassume their role in patient care.
