- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 19-year-old female patient with pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), who was presented with persistent discharge and pelvic pain despite being treated with azithromycin in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) treatment guidelines. The patient and her boyfriend were treated with moxifloxacin after being tested positive for Mycoplasma genitalium. It also presents facts about Mycoplasma genitalium.
