- Title
Need to lobby for access to asthma medications.
- Authors
Silversides, Ann
- Abstract
The article reports on the need to lobby for the access of asthma and allergy patients to the necessary medications. A 2007 research indicated that asthmatic children have poorer health outcomes due to financial challenges. It adds that financially challenged parents opt to buy cheaper symptom relievers instead of controller medication. Doctor Susan Waserman stresses that patients need to be seen by specialists as wrong diagnosis and information may have an impact on the quality of life of the patient.
