- Abstract
The article reports on the decision of the Quebec Superior Court to grant plaintiffs class-action status in a suit against pharmaceutical company Merck Frosst Canada Ltd. The Court has authorized the class action filed by plaintiffs who allegedly suffer from heart attack after using rofecoxib. Parent company Merck & Co. Inc. has voluntarily withdrawn the drug. Information on rofecoxib is provided.
