- Abstract
A literary criticism of the plays "Antony and Cleopatra," "Measure for Measure" and "The Tempest" by William Shakespeare is presented. Topics mentioned include the failure of female protagonists associated in their womanhood, the losing of self sense and personhood of the marginalized characters, and the discussion of civil law doctor William Vaughan in 1608 on the duties of wives where her judgement of propriety and morality are considered not reliable.
